Highlights in the 2019 E 300 and E 450 4MATIC®
As far as performance goes, the 2019 E 300 remains largely a carryover from the 2018 model year. Sporting a powerful yet efficient 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, the E 300 is well-equipped with 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque while also offering the seamless gear transitions of a 9-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the new E 450 4MATIC® is a better fit for the adrenaline junkie. It sports a larger 3.0L V6 biturbo engine with a lot more horsepower and torque. It does have the same 9-speed automatic transmission, but as the name suggests, it comes standard with the 4MATIC® all-wheel drive feature. If you opt for the E 300, you’ll have to upgrade to the E 300 4MATIC® which will cost a little extra.
As far as interior amenities, most of it is the same. Both come standard with highlights that include a power tilt/sliding tinted glass sunroof, a 64-color ambient lighting system, KEYLESS-START®, and a 12.3-inch high-resolution central display just to name a few. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard features in each for the 2019 model year. Also new for 2019 is a steering wheel with Touch-Control Buttons, which is available in both models as well.
The bottom line is that the E 300 and E 450 4MATIC® differ primarily in performance, but everything else is essentially the same. Learn more about these two models by contacting our team here at Mercedes-Benz of Indianapolis or schedule a test drive on our website today!
