Performance Specs, Cargo Volume and New Technology
Anyone interested in taking the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC home from our showroom will have three power plants to choose from, depending on which of the four models they pick. Both GLC 300 editions will use a turbocharged 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder engine making 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The Mercedes-AMG ® GLC 43 will use an AMG®-enhanced twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter, V-6 with a peak output of 385 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the Mercedes-AMG® GLC 63 employs a handcrafted AMG® 4.0-liter, V-8 making 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.
Regardless of how much performance a 2021 GLC produces, all versions will have two rows of seats that can hold five people. A model with a full backseat will still have 19.4 cubic-feet of cargo volume. Folding the rear seat down will more than double the amount of cargo volume, making up to 56.5 cubic-feet available.
Available Technology
There won’t be a version of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC available at our showroom that will be lacking for technology. All models will have two large digital screens, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen interface for the vehicle’s infotainment system. The Surround View System, Hands-Free Access, Dashcam and Parking Damage Detection System are available as stand-alone options for the 2021 GLC family.
